UPMSP Class 12 Biology Syllabus- List of Practicals
- UPMSP Class 12 Biology Syllabus- List of experiments:
- On a slide, examine pollen germination.
- Collect soil samples and analyse them for texture, moisture content, pH and water-holding capacity from at least two locations. Relate to the kind of plants that can be found there.
- Gather water from two different nearby water sources, then analyse it to check its pH, clarity and existence of any living things.
- To examine mitosis, prepare a temporary mount of the onion root tip.
- Analyse the impact of three distinct pH levels, three different temperatures and salivary amylase activity on starch.
- Take available plant material, such as spinach, green pea seeds, papaya, etc. and isolate the DNA.
- UPMSP Class 12 Biology Syllabus- Observation/Study of the following (spotting):
- Identify stages of gamete development, i.e., T.S. of testis and T.S. of the ovary, through permanent slides (from grasshopper/mice).
- Two plants and two animals were discovered in aquatic environments (models or virtual images). Please comment on their morphological adjustments..
- Flowers are adapted to pollination by different agencies (insects, wind, birds).
- Prepare pedigree charts of any one of the genetic traits such as rolling of tongue, blood groups, ear lobes, widow’s peak and colourblindness.
- Meiosis in onion bud cells or grasshopper testis through permanent slides.
- Two animals and two plants (models/virtual images) found in xeric conditions. Comment upon their morphological adaptations.
- T.S. of blastula through permanent slides(Mammalian).
- Common disease-causing organisms like Ascaris, Entamoeba, Plasmodium and any fungus causing ringworm through permanent specimens or slides. Comment on symptoms of diseases that they can cause.
