During night, Omana could not see anything from the window as it was dark. When the train stopped in the morning, she and her parents got off the train to have hot tea and filled their water bottles.

She could see the scene was beautiful outside and greenery all over fields with red soil/green crops, hills covered with trees and small ponds behind the hills filled with water. She could feel the cool breeze, and it was not as dry as Ahmedabad, her home town.

There were buses filled with people, cars, trucks, autorickshaws, and so on; they were all with people and goods in them. She could see a lot of smoke and hear the noise. She saw a few people going under the bars of the level crossing and found it dangerous! At times the train crosses another train. Unni and Omana tried to count the carriages in one such train, but both the trains were going too fast, and they were confused. 

While Omana was sitting near the window, suddenly the sound of a moving train changed to khud, khud, khud, and she opened her eyes. She saw that the train was crossing a huge river and a long bridge! She felt giddy and scared! The river was full of water and had few boats. She could see some fishermen on the banks and waved at them. Alongside the bridge, there was another bridge for buses and cars. She felt going over the bridge was more adventurous.

The last few hours of her journey were exciting. After breakfast, she climbed onto the upper berth to read her comics. It was bright and sunny outside. It also felt a little cold inside. Somebody said, ” they are passing through a tunnel. This goes right through the mountain.” The tunnel seemed huge. She was enjoying going through the tunnels.
