Key Topics Covered In NCERT Solutions for Class 4 EVS Chapter 5
Anita Khushwaha lived in a village known as Bochaha. This is located in the Muzzafarpur district in Bihar. She stayed with her parents and had two younger brothers. When she was young, she spent all her time with her goats as they gazed for food. She always wanted to go to school, but her parents did not like girls going to school. The Chapter has been beautifully represented in our NCERT Solutions for Class 4 EVS Chapter 5 with pictures and colourful demonstrations that elaborate on various events in Anita’s story.
A Dream of School:
One day while she took goats for grazing, she peeped into the school in a village. She could not stay away and silently went and sat down behind the children. She felt so happy when she reached home; she got the courage to talk to her parents about going to school. But they were not in favour of sending her to school. That day, she cried a lot. One of the teachers in her village explained the importance of education to her parents.
The teacher tried to convince her parents that they would not have to pay anything for her education up to Class 8. RTE (Right to Education) Act 2009 makes the Right to education a fundamental right. According to this act, students between the age of 6 to 14 are eligible to get free and mandatory education. So, education till Class 8 is provided free for all students. It is every child’s primary Right. This act tries to improve the literacy rate of the country. The RTE act was crucial for increasing India’s literacy rate, and we have further elaborated on this act in our NCERT Solutions for Class 4 EVS Chapter 5.
Somehow Anita’s parents agreed to send her to school. Anita was very excited and started going to school. But she never scored well in exams and always had many questions to ask!
Importance of Uniforms in School:
School uniforms bring the idea of uniformity. When all students come dressed in school uniforms, they are all treated equally irrespective of their caste, religion or social status. Uniforms bring discipline among students as they all come neatly dressed.
Children do not get distracted by the different colours and designs of clothes worn by other students in school. Also, a uniform helps distinguish students of one school from the other school. Thus, all schools should have a proper uniform to bring unity among students and build self-confidence. The importance of school uniforms is further explained in our NCERT Solutions for Class 4 EVS Chapter 5.
Importance of Honey Bees:
Honeybees are vital to the ecological system as they help in various situations. We think that honey bees are dangerous as they bite us, but the benefits are countless. Multiple usages of honey bees are covered in Extramarks NCERT Solutions for Class 4 EVS Chapter 5. Honey bees help in making honey from the nectar of flowers. All of us use honey, and it has a massive demand in the market and is also used by many people for its medicinal purposes. Beeswax is another product produced by honey bees and has excellent usage in day-to-day life.
