The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is one of the most highly reputed education boards that operate in India. Many schools are affiliated with the CBSE board, which is spread across the country. The CBSE board is prevalent among students and parents alike because of its comprehensive study patterns. CBSE follows an extremely objective curriculum regarding its education policy and the paper pattern. An objective approach to its education includes questions that are highly analytical and conceptual, and for students to be able to answer these questions, they must know the chapter and the topic inside out. Students must learn how to separate important information from the redundant information that is provided in the textbooks. Students must thoroughly review their entire syllabus and chapters because CBSE focuses on questions that are highly cognitive and can only be answered when the student has a thorough understanding of the entire chapter. The questions that are generally asked in the CBSE exams are very direct and objective, although the answers are entrenched deep into the fundamentals of the topic from which the questions are asked. Therefore, teachers at Extramarks have constantly reminded students to take the CBSE syllabus very seriously and that they must regularly study. Most importantly, they must inculcate a practise where students regularly go back to the exercises that they have done before. Students often get overwhelmed by the stark difference in scale that they encounter when they transition to a higher secondary level. CBSE is widely known for its massive syllabus, and teachers have often found that students struggle greatly with it. Teachers at Extramarks have reassured students that if they incorporate little changes in their daily routine, they can strategise a plan that would cause a significant decrease in the level of stress.

ToggleThe National Council for Educational Research and Training is a centralised institution that functions in India. NCERT was set up by the Indian Government in 1961 because the then newly formed Indian Government wanted an expert opinion from a group of highly qualified people who were just appointed to research and find the right answers related to the educational development of the country. NCERT assisted the Central Government as well as the State Governments on matters that are related to the educational development of the country and the academic prowess of its students. NCERT and CBSE share an extremely symbiotic relationship where both depend on each other greatly. NCERT regularly puts out its set of rules and guidelines, and it is imperative that students follow them strictly. NCERT also has its own publishing house, with which they publish their books based on the curriculum and syllabus that they have prescribed. Therefore, since the NCERT textbooks directly adhere to their guidelines and rules, teachers unanimously ask their students to follow the NCERT textbook. Students should treat the NCERT textbook as their primary textbook because, because these books are completely in sync with the NCERT syllabus, practising problems and questions from these books will adequately prepare students for the distinct questions that are asked in the exams.
NCERT has made significant strides in recent years to improve the educational environment of the country. They have provided students with different kinds of facilities that they can use to further their educational aspirations. NCERT has made provisions for annual journals where students can get their niche academic opinions published, based on which they can kickstart their academic careers. NCERT also hosts various competitions all over India, which promote solidarity among students countrywide, and this is how different students can interact, creating a feeling of community. NCERT has recently launched an amazing foreign exchange programme for students who are interested in a more holistic understanding of the subject and the ideas discussed in the chapters.
