Important Guidelines For JEE Main Exam Day

You must be present in the hall well before the exam time. According to the requirement, you must carry JEE Main admit card, proof of identity, and photographic proof. You can’t carry any electronic devices, logbooks, notebooks, or other tools to help you give your exams. You should follow proper time management to complete the exam on time.

1. Is it mandatory for students to write both (Paper 1, Paper 2) the JEE Main exam papers?

Only Paper 1 is mandatory for B.E / B. Tech candidates. Those who want to enrol in B. Arch and B. Planning need to appear for Paper 2A and Paper 2B accordingly. You can get more details about the JEE Main exam pattern for Paper 1, 2A, and 2B by going through our website.

2. Is the exam conducted in any other languages apart from Hindi and English?

Yes. The exam is conducted in a total of 13 languages. Candidates can choose the language that they are comfortable with while submitting the application form. 

3. Is it mandatory to attempt all the questions from each section in the JEE Main?

The JEE Main exam pattern is designed to attempt all MCQ questions without fail. Since the numerical value questions are optional, candidates can choose 5 out of the ten questions. Both drawing questions are to be attempted by the candidates.
