The CBSE Class 10 Social Science 2017 Paper has a total of 30 questions all of which are compulsory to answer. Marks are indicated against each question which helps students to how much effort and time to be spent. Questions from serial numbers 1 to 8 are very short answer questions where each question carries one mark and answers to these questions should not exceed 30 words each. Questions from serial numbers 9 to 20 are 3 marks questions and it is to be remembered that answering each of these questions should not exceed 80 marks. Questions from serial numbers 21 to 28 are 5 marks questions and answers to these questions should not exceed 120 words each. It is advised to write point-wise answers to this type of question, instead of writing long essays. Question numbers 29 and 30 are map questions of 3 marks each from History and Geography both. After completing the maps, please attach the map to your answer book. There is no overall choice. However internal choice is provided in some questions and you have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such questions. The total time given to complete the question paper is 3 hours with maximum marks of 90.
