CBSE Board Examination 2022

As per the CBSE updates, the Special Scheme of Assessment (SSA) for Board Examination, particularly classes 10 and 12 for session 2022-23 was announced on 5, July 2022. CBSE English Study Material

The relevance of English cannot be overlooked by students. They must study all subjects if they wish to do well in their board or yearly examinations. 

To help students prepare for English exams, there are a few things to keep in mind. The guidelines to remember when answering unseen passages are listed below. 

1. You need to study the complete passage and get the actual meaning regarding what the passage is all about. 
2. Scrutinise the text rapidly for the core concept and topic that the comprehension passage is built around.
3. Highlight the passage’s most essential points.
4. Now read the question and return to the previously unknown paragraph to obtain the answer.
5. It’s best not to copy and paste the answer from the comprehension section. Try to phrase your response on your own terms.
6. Substitute the word with the meaning for answering vocabulary-based questions such as synonyms, antonyms, phrases, idioms, and so on. The solution is accurate if the meaning is the same.

• CBSE Term II datasheet for 2022-23

• CBSE Introduces 2 Level of Maths for Class 10

A fresh notification from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been issued for students in Class 10. According to the official announcement, starting in 2020, the board exam for class 10 will include two levels of Mathematics. Internal evaluations, on the other hand, will continue in the same manner. The internal evaluation procedure will remain unchanged. In addition, the CBSE class 10 NCERT syllabus would be the same for both levels of the test. This allows students to select the level of board examination based on their analytical and aptitude abilities.

CBSE Exam Pattern 2022-2023

The CBSE assesses students in two places:

1. Scholastic: Students are made to concentrate on fundamental academic topics in this context. They are taught all of the major disciplines, including social science, science, mathematics, and language.
2. Co-scholastic: This category covers extracurricular activities such as games, athletics, art, music, and craftwork, all of which are important for a student’s growth. This has been included to help pupils become healthier and more fit, as this leads to improved learning.

The Scholastic areas’ academic year is divided into two terms, Term 1 and Term 2. Students also need to complete two types of assessment- Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. 

Following subcategories are mentioned below – 

1. Formative Assessment (FA): The Formative Assessment (FA) in elementary courses include verbal exams, dictation, assignments, class tests, projects & assignments, narration, elocution, memory tests, quizzes, and so on.
2. Summative Assessment: Students are examined internally in this type of assessment. The Summative Assessment (SA) is administered twice a year, at the end of each semester. The school administers the examinations using pen and paper.

Special Assessment Scheme 2022-2023 for Classes 10 and 12

For the academic year 2022-2023, CBSE has announced Special Assessment Schemes for standards 10 and 12. The details about the same are mentioned here. 

The academic session would be split into 2 terms, each with a curriculum of 50 percent (approximately): 

1. The syllabus for Academic Session 2022-2023 will be split into two terms.
2. The curriculum for each term will be around 50%.
3. The board is taking a deliberate approach to dividing the syllabus into two sections, with Subject Experts looking at how concepts and disciplines are connected.
4. There at the end of each term, the Board will administer tests based on the bifurcated (half) syllabus.

The academic session 2022-23 syllabus and curriculum is simplified now – 

1. The board will streamline the curriculum for the board examinations 2022-2023, compared to the previous academic session.
2. Schools will now use the CBSE curriculum and syllabus, which was released on March 31, 2022.
3. Except for it though, the schools and the CBSE will use the bifurcated (half) syllabus to hold exams at the end of each semester.

Internal evaluations/practices/projects should be as practical as possible: 

1. According to the regulations and moderation guidelines to be announced by the Board, CBSE will make sure that Internal Assessment/ Practical/ Project work is increasingly legitimate and accepted in order to ensure a fair distribution of marks.

Terminal examinations: 

1. According to the most recent information from the CBSE Board, the Term I Examination will be scheduled for the end of the first term. 
2. Throughout November 2022 and December 2022, the test will be held on a flexible basis. 
3. Only after second term classes are completed, the Board will administer the Term II test. The Term II test will take place between March and April 2022 at the Board-designated examination locations.

Structure of the examination: 

1. The Question Paper will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), combining case-based MCQs and assertion-reasoning MCQs. 
2. The test will be of 90 minutes and primarily cover the streamlined Term I syllabus. (about half of the whole curriculum). 
3. The students’ ultimate grades will be determined by their performance in the term I Examination. The term II test will last two hours and will consist of descriptive questions.
