Say hello to ‘no-bag days’! With NEP’s new ‘bagless days’ policy in place, it’s time that we unburden our student’s shoulders, both literally and figuratively, by implementing school days where backpacks are left behind and learning beyond textbooks takes centrestage.
This policy recommends that Classes 6 to 8 have 10 bag-free days each year, during which they get the opportunity to explore vocational subjects and indulge in creative activities that foster experiential learning. In this week's newsletter, we shed light on the transformative potential of NEP’s bagless policy, demonstrate how it can redefine traditional learning paradigms and develop a holistic teaching-learning environment in schools. |
Implementing dedicated bagless days at educational institutions is a brilliant idea for several reasons. Besides easing the physical stress of lugging around heavy bags, it fosters a dynamic and interactive learning environment for students. As a teacher, it can drive you to develop creative, hands-on lesson plans that promote critical thinking and turn learning into a stress-free, fun and enjoyable experience.
