New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that medical aspirants appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 are not required to have an APAAR ID for registration. Candidates can use alternative valid identification options, such as Aadhaar, Passport, or other officially recognized IDs, to complete their registration process. Further details will be provided in the upcoming NEET UG 2025 Information Bulletin.
Summary:
What is APAAR ID?
The APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) ID is a digital repository of students’ academic credits under the One Nation, One Student ID initiative. This initiative is aimed at streamlining academic record management and enhancing transparency in education-related processes such as exam registrations and attendance tracking.
The NTA previously issued an advisory recommending that candidates update their Aadhaar details to prevent errors during registration.
